It is not through fate that "Marquise de Sévigné" chose Strasbourg to accommodate "Les Secrets du Chocolat". This European city, with a rich tradition of gastronomy, is moreover located in the second exporting chocolate area!
Supported financially by the local regional authority in Alsace and by the Département du Bas-Rhin, "Marquise de Sévigné" offers visitors of all nationalities and cultures an extraordinary voyage inside the universe of chocolate, thanks to a new concept unique in the world!
With a blend of leisure and educational activities, this interactive museum of 800 sq. m. is fully fitted with sound and video equipment such as that which can be found in leisure parks.
Sumptuous decorations and animated characters thus recreate the various scenes of the history of cocoa, from Christopher Colombus through to that written by "Marquise de Sévigné".
A voyage which continues into the discovery of the manufacture of chocolate, since the cocoa broad bean to the blissful tasting of scrumptious chocolates. |
